Midland Precision Guns is owned by Joe Melia, winner of numerous competitions, both in Ireland and Abroad, including the European Championships. The business is a registered Firearms Dealers and was founded principally to carry out re-barrelling and improve the accuracy of rifles. They are based in the Midlands and focus on providing the best possible service to their customers, helping them get the most from their firearms.
Midlands Precision Guns is a local service business with a reputation within the shooting community. The work always came from local word-of-mouth, but Joe decided he wanted to take things up a level. Sometimes a client just needs a basic website; advertise what you do, describe what you do and sell what you do, that’s what a simple WordPress website does best. The small handful of components that make up this website do exactly that.
At FutureProof Digital we use WordPress exclusively. It’s the perfect software solution for almost all small businesses. For this client we would also install Elementor Pro to develop a custom theme, and Crocoblock JetEngine database management, the image gallery for example. In addition, we build a custom admin dashboard for each client. This user friendly interface, more akin to a social media platform allows the business owner to add and update content, add and update media, and change basic business info.
For this project we began with the website homepage. A website homepage should contain all of the highlights, all of the pages you want people to visit; your business goals. The goals here were simple; advertise the products and services and encourage people to contact the owner for more information. This homepage features some background on the business, items for sale, services on offer and the contact page.
Next came the sales and services pages. Because of regulations, Midland Precision Guns cannot sell firearms directly on their website, only in person, but they can advertise what items they have for sale, and contact details. For the services, a simple page describing the gunsmith services they provide, is all that was needed.
Finally, the contact page. A contact page provides a direct line of communication and makes it easy for people to reach out to you with questions or feedback. A clear, easy to use contact form makes it easy for customers to get in touch with you and helps establish a relationship.
Your homepage is the first impression that potential customers will have of your website and brand. A well-designed, informative homepage can make all the difference in creating a positive user experience and driving conversions. The homepage for the client provides all the information in a striking way.
Make a strong first impression with a well-designed header on your homepage. It's the first thing visitors see and can help communicate your brand identity, highlight key messages, and improve user experience. Don't underestimate the power of a great header. The homepage for this client clearly promotes their brand identity and service.
Different pages on a website serve different purposes and provide different information to your audience. Each serves a unique role in creating a comprehensive and user-friendly website experience. This client got a simple, clear design for these pages.
Having a clear and accessible contact page on your website is vital for building trust and fostering communication with your audience. It makes it easy for customers to get in touch with you and helps establish a relationship, essential for this client.
